Bill Cosby to release hip-hop compilation

Cosby will release a rap compilation that focuses on major issues that affect young people today.
Los Angeles (WiredPRNews.com) – Bill Cosby is set to release a hip-hop CD that focuses on major issues concerning young people today. As reported by Reuters, the compilation will not feature the legendary actor and comedian rapping or singing, however, it does feature performances by several rappers and community activists.
Cosby is quoted by Reuters as stating of anticipated reactions to the album compared to the response he received from controversial remarks made years prior on similar issues, “People who don’t want it to succeed will say I’m a curmudgeon who doesn’t like poor or young people… But these rappers are young males running down the truth about the urban side of life. It’s time for a change.”
“Bill Cosby Presents the Cosnarati: State of Emergency,” an audio companion to the 2007 book “Come On People” will reportedly be released Oct. 20.
